A combination of drought, land clearing, bushfires, and climate change has resulted in a tragic and steep decline in koala populations across Australia with a recent NSW parliamentary inquiry confirming koalas in the state of New South Wales are on trajectory towards extinction by 2050 unless their habitat is preserved and protected.
