Film maker David Michod with musicians Colin Hay and Archie Roach on the importance of trusted collaborators in their creative work.
Jon Faine’s co-host is 3RRR broadcaster Jacinta Parsons, who is currently training for the 2014 Reclink Community Cup at Elsternwick Park on Sunday 22nd June.
Their first guests are musicians Archie Roach and Colin Hay. Colin sings the Men At Work hit Down Under, and together they perform a glorious version of Archie’s songWe Won’t Cry.
They are both performing at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival(6-21 June 2014). Archie Roach’s Creation and Colin Hay’sWaiting For My Real Life are on at Adelaide’s Dunstan Playhouse.
They are also both featured on a new compilation of Australian music, called simply Australia on the world music label Putumayo. A portion of CD sales will be donated to Indigenous education not-for-profit Yalari
Then they are joined by film writer and director David Michod. His debut Animal Kingdom was a great success, and his latest film The Rover is in cinemas from Friday June 13 2014.
